DO YOUNG NIGERIANS REALLY HAVE RELIGION?

I have a female friend who happens to be a Muslim, but in the next few minutes, she could suddenly become a Christian. According to her, if she eventually marry a Christian, she won’t mind becoming a Christian. In her view, its easy to be Christian, all you need is attend church once a week and dance yourself out, unlike being a Muslim that you need to be praying 5 times daily. Also, I have a Christian lady who said she likes me, but upon telling her jokingly that I would have dated her if she is a Muslim,she suddenly want to become a Muslim.
A Muslim friend (Abdulsomething) at one time suddenly changed his name to (brother something) because he wanted to date a Christian lady. He went to Redeem church with her several times claiming to be converted. Similarly, Another Christian guy who wanted to marry a lady in IIorin had to convert to Islam to achieve his aim.

The question is, Do Nigerians really have religion? If yes, what is the motivation behind our religion? Are we in our present religion because we were born in it or because we truly understand it? Do we really understand our religious teaching or just bearing the name?

Situation Report in Borno State

Following the improved counter terrorism activities of the Nigeria Army against the dreaded Boko Haram insurgency group in North East, Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) in its usual practice visited Borno State, the foundation place for Boko Haram. FPP team in North East, headed by the North East Director, Mr. Alkasim Aliyu embarked on a 5 days situation visit to Maiduguri, Borno State capital from 11th -15th of May, 2018 to assess the living condition of the people, as well as the economic situation. In our visit, it was discovered that Borno state is experiencing the best of time now since 2011, as economic situation, educational progression and other developmental activities are getting better by the day. NHRC begin investigation on Lafiaji extra judicial killings

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) said it has commenced investigation into the unfortunate extra judicial killings of 3 youths in Lafiaji town on 17th November 2017. The commission stated this in an acknowledgement letter to a popular Kwara based advocacy group known as Kwara Must Change. The extra judicial killings, which was reportedly ordered by Senator Sha'aba Lafiaji was registered as C/2017/8542-8547/HQ and the commission said it is currently receiving attention.

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) has released a statement on Tuesday explaining the peaceful nature of their protests before operatives of the Nigerian Army interfered by opening fire into its members injuring many people in the process.
