DO YOUNG NIGERIANS REALLY HAVE RELIGION?

I have a female friend who happens to be a Muslim, but in the next few minutes, she could suddenly become a Christian. According to her, if she eventually marry a Christian, she won’t mind becoming a Christian. In her view, its easy to be Christian, all you need is attend church once a week and dance yourself out, unlike being a Muslim that you need to be praying 5 times daily. Also, I have a Christian lady who said she likes me, but upon telling her jokingly that I would have dated her if she is a Muslim,she suddenly want to become a Muslim.
A Muslim friend (Abdulsomething) at one time suddenly changed his name to (brother something) because he wanted to date a Christian lady. He went to Redeem church with her several times claiming to be converted. Similarly, Another Christian guy who wanted to marry a lady in IIorin had to convert to Islam to achieve his aim.

The question is, Do Nigerians really have religion? If yes, what is the motivation behind our religion? Are we in our present religion because we were born in it or because we truly understand it? Do we really understand our religious teaching or just bearing the name?

Group raises alarm, as flood takes over Oloje community in Ilorin

Kwara Must Change is hereby alerting the state government and the general public that flood has taken over oloje community in Ilorin west local government area of Kwara state. This is as a result of lack of drainage system to control the Atake river in the area and numerous appeal to government over the years have fallen on deaf hears. There is no drainage system in Oloje community and as a result, Atake river has always flooded the community, sometimes claiming lives in the process. Kwara Must Change members in the area can recall at least, four lives that have been lost in this unfortunate situation. The last one was very pathetic. A young man of about twenty years old, who is the only surviving child of his parent lost his dear life to the flood, thereby throwing the entire community in mourning. They are victims of various kind of injustices or violence perpetrated by either their own government against them or by others, such as, communal clashes, terrorism, riots, religious conflicts, natural disasters and so on. An activist friend of mine, IG wala has declared his intention to contest the 2015 election under the platform of the PDP in his state, Gombe. And ever since his declaration, some people have littered the social media space with all sort of uninformed posting, condemnation, questioning his decision to join a party that has destroyed Nigeria since 1999 as if the PDP is the name of somebody.  To the best of my knowledge, Nobody is called PDP, we only have PDP members. A PDP member today can also become an APC member tomorrow and vice ver sa.
