Breaking: Middle belt leaders adopt Olawepo Hashim for 2019 Presidency

The Middle Belt Forum has adopted the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust (PT), Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as its common Presidential candidate for the February 16 presidential election. Leaders of the Forum, at a meeting in Abuja on Thursday ratified the choice of Olawepo-Hashim, capping a process that started some six months earlier. Leader of the Forum, Former Military Governor of Plateau state, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (rtd) who announced the Forum’s choice to gathering of its elders in Abuja, said that the choice of Olawepo Hashim has been ratified by the Forum. The Forum is spread in 12 out of 19 Northern states, its leaders said, as they added that the new development could alter the calculations ahead of the 2019 election. Calls on Nigerians to reject politics of violence   Presidential candidate of People’s Trust (PT), Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has condemned the violence at the Lagos rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) where thugs of political rivals fired gunshots at one another, killing two persons in the process while many people sustained various degrees of injury in the pandemonium that ensued. Olawepo-Hashim, according to a statement issued in Abuja by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Ibrahim, described the incident as ominous and called on Nigerians to take note of the violent dimension that the governing party has introduced into the campaigns for the forthcoming general election. 2019 : Olawepo Hashim maintain lead over Buhari and Atiku as most prominent candidate online

70% of voters undecided The weekly social media rating of presidential candidates’ engagements on the popular platform, Facebook, on Wednesday showed that the candidate of the Peoples Trust (PT), Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim maintained the lead on engagement over APC’s Presidential candidate,Muhammadu Buhari and PDP’s Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Olawepo Hashim who overtook President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar on 10th December 2018 has remained on top with the highest engagement on social media for four (4) consecutive weeks. This showed that Hashim is the most prominent presidential candidate that is being discussed on the social media.
