Only PhD Holders Should Use Doctor’s Title, Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

Doctor is basically a title for teachers or scholars. It was derived from the Latin word doceō (I teach). Ironically, it has been observed that the use of Doctor’s title is confusing in today’s world. For example, if someone is addressed as doctor today, no one can properly predict their profession or qualification. This is so because in a general sense, there are three (3) majorly recognized bearer of the Doctor’s title in Nigeria. We have the Medical Doctors, Academic doctors (PhD) and honorary Doctors. Although, there are other bearers of Doctors title, but in Nigeria, these are the 3 mostly recognized and used in public space. From the laymen point of view, the only people mostly recognized as doctors are medical practitioners. As a matter of fact, some laymen do not know there are other kind of doctors. The Presidential Candidate of People’s Trust (PT) Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has assured workers in the country that if elected as president in 2019 ,he would pay N50,000 as minimum wage. According to the third force presidential candidate: “In 1983, Nigeria first had N125 minimum wage, the equivalent of N50, 000 today. So, if we are paying N50, 000 minimum wage today, we will only be giving what was given in 1983’’. ‘’those who are complaining about paying N30, 000 minimum wage, tell them that they lack initiative and cannot think as far and as seriously as those who govern Nigeria in 1983’’ he noted.

North East: Olawepo Hashim urges politicians not to politicize national security

Frontline Presidential Candidate, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has called on politicians to rise above partisan fray in their reactions to the recent killings of Nigeria troops in the Northeast region. Instead of politicizing the sad event, the candidate, regarded as a third force in emerging political calculations rather called for a cross-party, consensual approach in dealing with the national scourge, according to a statement signed by his Spokesman, Mr. Hassan Ibrahim. He accused the Vice President of preparing his detention under the decree 2, during military era. Olawepo Hashim made this known during an interview with journalists According to the third force presidential candidate, Prof Osibanjo is a ‘careerist’ who has always offered his good knowledge to advance power around people who are powerful. Women in South West dump President Buhari, declare support for Olawepo Hashim as he vow to tackle cancer

Frontline Presidential Candidate in Nigeria, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has vowed to tackle cancer headlong if elected president in the 2019 presidential election. The candidate running on the platform of People’s Trust (PT) told women group in the South West, under the aegis of Women for Hashim (WfH), that it was time Nigerian halt the devastating effect of cancer. He stressed that the Cancer programme is dear to me, especially after listening to his daughter, Ifeaoluwa, who said: “‘Dad, I wonder how many Nigerian women can afford this vaccine at N33, 000.00 when the minimum wage is N18, 000? Daddy, when you become president, please make it free!’” He added that the Federal Government of Nigeria under his presidency will sponsor vaccine for all girls from age nine to age 25.
