Nigeria paid equivalent of N50,000 minimum wage in 1983 says Olawepo Hashim

The Presidential Candidate of People’s Trust (PT) Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has assured workers in the country that if elected as president in 2019 ,he would pay N50,000 as minimum wage.

According to the third force presidential candidate: “In 1983, Nigeria first had N125 minimum wage, the equivalent of N50, 000 today. So, if we are paying N50, 000 minimum wage today, we will only be giving what was given in 1983’’.

‘’those who are complaining about paying N30, 000 minimum wage, tell them that they lack initiative and cannot think as far and as seriously as those who govern Nigeria in 1983’’ he noted.

Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) has intercepted a trending and disturbing video online, in which soldiers of the Nigerian army are seen in the video, marching two (2) harmless civilians into a location for execution, over the simple offense of coming out during curfew as heard from one of the soldiers. As the heart breaking video proceeded, the two harmless citizens were seen being gunned down by 3 soldiers who were also celebrating the heinous crime against humanity. The Nigerian Army on Tuesday publicly released the academic details of former military leader, Muhammadu Buhari, but denied at the same time it could not vouch for the authenticity of his Senior Secondary Examinations results. Speaking to the media, Army Spokesperson, Olajide Laleye, reversed the Army’s earlier position that it had copies of Mr. Buhari’s West African Secondary School Certificate. Mr. Laleye said while military records showed Mr. Buhari obtained the WASC in 1961, with credits in English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, and Hausa, there were neither the original copy nor certified true copy nor statement of result to confirm the grades. I do not know when GTB suddenly become this kind of a useless bank, but what one of My friend is currently experiencing is very frustrating and a betrayal of customers trust. This is what happened. A friend of mine (Ib) operate a GTB savings account in Ilorin, Kwara state, but due to his kind of job, he suddenly find himself in Delta state, a remote town that only one bank operates there (ECOBANK). Whenever he needs to lodge money into his account, there is no way to do that, but finally, he had an agreement with the ECOBANK in the town. One of the ECOBANK staff would receive the amount to be lodged in cash, then transfer the amount to his GTB account. This has been the way since he gets to that town.
