He had led the way from his living room to climb the staircase to the chapel, explaining that it was the only place the interview could be held without much distraction from visitors. After we had ascended the ‘holy’ upper chamber, we began the business of the day that lasted for about two hours, with the octogenarian looking at the country, remembering what had happened as if they occurred just yesterday, appraising power equations from independence in 1960 till now. Dr Ekwueme, who co-founded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with some other illustrious Nigerians, also looked at the current state of the party, saying that things have fallen apart in the PDP envisioned to be a mass movement that would r

The President wondered how Buhari would develop the country’s economy, a feat he could not achieve while he was in office as head of state between 1983 and 1985. “Is it now that Buhari cannot even remember his own phone number that he can change the economy of the country.” Jonathan asked. The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate said that although he did not like to “go personal during campaigns,” “sometimes circumstances demand that certain things must be said.” Jonathan said that Buhari belonged to the medieval age, add

You are the most divisive leader in the history of Nigeria, having ceaselessly exploited the country’s fault lines for political gains,” the party said in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed. It said President Jonathan is the first leader to have turned the house of worship to a political arena, using the pulpit to make political and policy statements and making a show of what should ordinarily be a very personal religious affair. Bitter Truth About Islamization Agenda

Image
Agenda For Peace With Mr.Rights: Bitter Truth About Islamization Agenda Written by Abdulrazaq O Hamzat (Mr Rights) The purpose of this writing is not to promote any religious divide, but rather, to educate the public and set the record straight against empty and unnecessary politicization of Christianity and Islamic religion. This is necessary because, If one take a closer look at the dirty role our selfish, but corrupt politicians and clerics are playing with these two religions one would be left with no doubt about the danger awaiting to befall this great nation as a result of religious hatred and distrust that had been well enshrined in the heart of our people. Such divisive antics had gotten to a stage that, if two brothers believe in the two faiths, i.e one chose Islam, while the other chose Christianity, both may be relating with each other with distrust and suspicion. For example, If Boko Haram terrorist group strikes in Borno, killing innocent people, the Christian brother c
