Image
Kwara Must Change, a pro Democracy group in Kwara State wishes to inform the general public that the state of education in Kwara State is one of the worst in the country. This can be verified in our May 9th report, in which Kwara Must Change exposed a heart breaking and endemic rot in Kwara State education sector, particularly in Kwara North and Kwara South in which a whole school only has one staff, who functions as teacher, cleaner and head master/mistress. As was properly captured in the report, ‘’The super staff, in addition to handling the administrative duties, also teaches all students in all classes, from primary 1 to primary 6, in addition to teaching all subjects including Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, Home Economics, Art etc’’. However, it was surprising to read with utmost dismay, the fraudulent claim by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki over the state of education in Kwara State in which he claimed that he initiated a policy to advance education

Kwara Must Change call for more dialogue, advise against sanctioning Prof Oba

Following news report about a call, by APC elders that Prof Oba Abdulraheem, one of the aggrieved governorship aspirant be sanctioned over perceived anti party remarks, Kwara Must Change call on the party elders to avoid going that route. Kwara Must Change believes that, if previous reconciliation effort didn't pacify the aggrieved aspirant, more dialogue should be explored to ensure all aggrieved individuals are properly carried along. While it is true that the remarks credited to Prof Abdulraheem is disheartening, elders must always explore better ways of dialogue rather than sanction. KMC said. Kwara Must Change had earlier noted that, even though Prof Oba and others are aggrieved over some issues during the primary, it is important to note that, we the younger ones were born into an aggrieved society and in 2019, we must change that. "We want to channel the energy of our grievances into creating a sustainable political change in Kwara." "We therefor

Shi’ite Protests: What Really Happened – IMN

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) has released a statement on Tuesday explaining the peaceful nature of their protests before operatives of the Nigerian Army interfered by opening fire into its members injuring many people in the process. A senior member of the IMN’s media forum,Shuaibu Musa, said this yesterday during a media interview and he also accused the Federal Government of deceiving the populace by peddling false narratives of the confrontation. He said: “The claims that we are moving around with weapons are unsubstantiated. All the marches we have done previously without army or police interference have always ended up peacefully. The question to ask is: who have we ever attacked? “Let me tell you in Abuja we held a daily sit-out for over a hundred days and nobody was hurt until they (security agents) came and attacked us. “What is confrontational about a group of people that would come out en masse with their children, women and even their disabled to make their

It is good to retire these people and the time to do that is now”, Olawepo-Hashim state
