A Lesson from "APC Wedding" Chaired by the PDP

PDP Governor Akpabio made an interesting proposal at the wedding reception of the daughter of APC Governor Rochas Okorocha on inter state marriage by young Nigerians. He proposed that the beautiful ladies of Imo state should not focus on marrying fellow handsome gentlemen in Imo state only but seek to marry extra handsome gentlemen from Akwa Ibom state. He also mentioned that he has practiced what he is proposing by marrying outside Akwa Ibom state. He has sent a strong message that all of us should think about in the effort for national unification.

Governor Rochas also need to be commended for inviting Governor Akpabio to Chair the wedding program. As APC Governors Forum Chair, he kept political differences aside and reached out to the PDP Governors Forum Chair. If all politicians can keep aside political differences and work together for national unity and integration, Nigeria will emerge one of the greatest nation on earth in a short time

Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. The STF commandant, who hailed FPP for its efforts and consistency, particularly on the early warning alerts being regularly sent to the agency, urges the organization to continue to sensitize youths in the ‘’vote not fight’’ campaign and ensure youths stay away from political violence and criminality. PDP will not win a single seat in Kwara State- Survey

A survey conducted by leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change (KMC) has indicated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may not, in the 2019 general election, win any seat in the home state of Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki. This is contrary to the assumptions of people outside Kwara State that have been projecting Kwara as a strong hold of the PDP. The survey conducted by Kwara Must Change (KMC) about 2 weeks ago revealed that the Senate President will not return to the Senate and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will lose the upcoming election in Kwara State with a very wide margin.
