In a tightly choreographed 3.5 hours, TEDxWBG brought together thinkers and leaders from the worlds of business, art, and technology to share experiences and ideas worth spreading across the world.
This first TEDxWBG explored the theme of “Ending Poverty” from multiple viewpoints in three distinct but related sessions.

Victim Kwara Must Change has compiled at least, 14 names of victims murdered in the deadly armed robbery attack that took place in Offa Community, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State. FPP’s vote not fight campaign ahead of 2019 election get a morale boost

Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. The STF commandant, who hailed FPP for its efforts and consistency, particularly on the early warning alerts being regularly sent to the agency, urges the organization to continue to sensitize youths in the ‘’vote not fight’’ campaign and ensure youths stay away from political violence and criminality. Danger averted,Female Student Caught With 2 Grenades (Bombs) In Taraba State

A senior secondary school form one (SS1) student of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, was on Monday apprehended for being in possession of two grenades. The student, simply identified as Blessing, was apprehended by the school's security guards who were conducting checks on the students luggage following their resumption for the second term. In an attempt to smuggle the bombs into the school, Blessing, who joined the school last September, concealed the bombs inside gari and it took the vigilance of the security men to detect them. Upon the discovery, she was quickly arrested alongside her father who is said to be a retired Police Inspector from Numan in Adamawa state while the bomb disposal unit at the police headquarters was quickly called in to defuse the bombs. Immediately one steps into Kwara State, either through Kogi State, Osun State, Oyo State, Niger State or even through Benin Republic, the first thing that stirs you in the face is ‘’O TO GE’’, the All Progressive Congress (APC) popular shibboleth that has sent the name Saraki into sudden Lethe in Kwara State. The slogan ‘’O to ge’’ literally means, ‘’Enough is Enough’’. It was adopted by Kwara State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) as a representation of the feelings and resolve of the people to end Saraki dynasty in 2019 general election and even before the election, it appeared the game is over for Bukola Saraki, as the slogan has sent the name Saraki into oblivion.
