Presidential Debate For APC Presidential Aspirants

Young members of our great party have put together a Presidential Debate for APC Presidential aspirants.

The debate would be an opportunity to showcase intellectual capacity of our various aspirants and help our delegates to make an informed decision ahead of the forthcoming APC Presidential primary election coming up on 10th December, 2014.

The debate would be held on Sunday, Nov 30, 2014 at Yar'adua Center, Abuja by 7pm.

It's a New Party for a New Nigeria says APC.

Jonathan demand N1bn for transportation to attend Metuh's trial

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has today asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to set aside the order asking him to appear in court as a witness to testify in a case involving the former National Publicity Secretary of his party,Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh. Jonathan also told the court that, the court should issue an order, directing Olisa Metuh to deposit the sum of N1bn to cover travelling expenses for himself and his security personnel from his hometown, Otuoke in Bayelsa State, to Abuja. Recall that, Justice Okon Abang had issued two separate subpoenas ordering Jonathan and his former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, to appear in court on Tuesday.

Some retired senior military officers have warned against the postponement of the February general elections to avoid military takeover of the administration of the country. Ahead of the February election, the Igbo Community in Lagos has reiterated its commitment to vote en masse for President Goodluck Jonathan, the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje and other party candidates to ensure the continuity of development and government of inclusiveness. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have no other choice than listen to the advise of the nations security agencies which call for the election postponement, citing security reasons. While it may be true that the security agencies seems to be influenced by some political considerations, we must remain calm and give peace a chance since the action is still within the law. Although, there are reasons to be worried. Nigerians must be worried that, this government has had 6 years to fix the security of the nation, but it has failed to do so.
