A leader of the Middle Belt Forum, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (Rtd) has said that the Forum will stick to its earlier endorsement of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust (PT) for the 2019 election, Mr. GBENGA Olawepo-Hashim. Suleiman, who stated this at a meeting with members of the Forum in Abuja said that he and a number of the Forum's members were not carried along in the adoption of former Vice President and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (Pdp) in the February 16 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by the ethnic Nationality groups cutting across the North and South. Women in South West dump President Buhari, declare support for Olawepo Hashim as he vow to tackle cancer

Frontline Presidential Candidate in Nigeria, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has vowed to tackle cancer headlong if elected president in the 2019 presidential election. The candidate running on the platform of People’s Trust (PT) told women group in the South West, under the aegis of Women for Hashim (WfH), that it was time Nigerian halt the devastating effect of cancer. He stressed that the Cancer programme is dear to me, especially after listening to his daughter, Ifeaoluwa, who said: “‘Dad, I wonder how many Nigerian women can afford this vaccine at N33, 000.00 when the minimum wage is N18, 000? Daddy, when you become president, please make it free!’” He added that the Federal Government of Nigeria under his presidency will sponsor vaccine for all girls from age nine to age 25. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)has built a massive edifice along Jabbi and Airport Road, which is going to be used as its new head office. Mr Rights sighted the new structure, which is located directly opposite National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) headquarters, Abuja. Obasanjo, Buhari Planning Interim Govt —FG

The Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, on Monday, said a plot by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to form an interim government has been uncovered. The minister said this in Lagos at the launch of a book titled, ‘Watch the Watcher,’ written by an activist, Yinka Odumakin, in reaction to Obasanjo’s controversial book, ‘My Watch’. Adesiyan said he had already directed the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba; and the Department of State Service to arrest anybody that made inflammatory statements ahead of the 2015 elections. He said, “Many of those in the APC are disgruntled PDP members who are no longer relevant and because they could not have their way, they have started to heat up the polity. They have said they will form a parallel government if they lose. “I have already told the IG and the DSS to arrest anybody making such mutinous and inflammatory statements.” ...

........ call on Nigerians to trust INEC An independent Non Governmental Organisation, Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) has called on the Nigerian people to have faith in their country & give chance to Government Institutions like Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), being the Nigerian electoral body to finish up what its started. The elections cannot be concluded if announcement of Presidential election results cannot be made. The organisation frowned at reckless statements coming from political parties, organisations and foreign  individuals aimed at heating up the polity just to pitch Nigerians against each other.
