Jonathan’s Campaign Team Trapped In Maiduguri

Members of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign team that were in Borno State for the Presidential campaign rally held Saturday, have been trapped in Maiduguri following the attack on the City by the Boko Haram sect. The team comprising security personnel as well as journalists has been moved to a secure place by security agencies in the volatile town. The team which was billed to have left for the Sunday, were affected by the curfew imposed by military authorities in the state capital. One of the members of the team told vanguard; ” we are hiding and there is serious fighting going on between the insurgents and security personnel. Former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has insinuated that Patience Jonathan, wife of the president, Diezani Alison-Madueke, Petroleum Minister, Stella Oduah, former Aviation Minister and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Finance Minister are all ‘Presidents’ of Nigeria, noting that Goodluck Jonathan comes behind the quartet and is the weakest of them all. I do not know when GTB suddenly become this kind of a useless bank, but what one of My friend is currently experiencing is very frustrating and a betrayal of customers trust. This is what happened. A friend of mine (Ib) operate a GTB savings account in Ilorin, Kwara state, but due to his kind of job, he suddenly find himself in Delta state, a remote town that only one bank operates there (ECOBANK). Whenever he needs to lodge money into his account, there is no way to do that, but finally, he had an agreement with the ECOBANK in the town. One of the ECOBANK staff would receive the amount to be lodged in cash, then transfer the amount to his GTB account. This has been the way since he gets to that town.
