Jonathan’s Campaign Team Trapped In Maiduguri

Members of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign team that were in Borno State for the Presidential campaign rally held Saturday, have been trapped in Maiduguri following the attack on the City by the Boko Haram sect. The team comprising security personnel as well as journalists has been moved to a secure place by security agencies in the volatile town. The team which was billed to have left for the Sunday, were affected by the curfew imposed by military authorities in the state capital. One of the members of the team told vanguard; ” we are hiding and there is serious fighting going on between the insurgents and security personnel. The National Chairman of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels has narrated how the party was rescued from highjackers and godfathers, saying it was not an easy task dealing with political and so called spiritual godfathers. A lady, who goes by the name Sarah Mcgovern on social network site Facebook, has quite her job over what she described as harassment and persistently being refereed to as sweetie by her boss. Women and youth groups in Kebbi state have refused to attend presidential campaign of People's Democratic Party (PDP). They declared support and rally for the presidential candidate of People’s Trust Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim.
