Igbo Community In Lagos Endorse Jimi Agbaje

Ahead of the February election, the Igbo Community in Lagos has reiterated its commitment to vote en masse for President Goodluck Jonathan, the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje and other party candidates to ensure the continuity of development and government of inclusiveness. Addressing the crowd at the Trade fair Complex, Archbishop Samson Benjamin, said that the tears of the Igbos in the state can only be wiped by PDP that are ready to accommodate all in their policy unlike APC who wanted the Igbos that contributed to the economical growth of the state to vacate in the name of building a mega city. Also, the National president of Igbo Youth Congress, IYC, Jerry Onyemaechi Ugwu, said that the Igbo people in Lagos have concluded to vote against the ruling APC in the state, stating that all area resided by Igbo people in the state were denied of development directly. The PDP governorship candidate Jimi Agbaje promised the government of equality and justice for all. Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. The STF commandant, who hailed FPP for its efforts and consistency, particularly on the early warning alerts being regularly sent to the agency, urges the organization to continue to sensitize youths in the ‘’vote not fight’’ campaign and ensure youths stay away from political violence and criminality. Danger averted,Female Student Caught With 2 Grenades (Bombs) In Taraba State

A senior secondary school form one (SS1) student of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, was on Monday apprehended for being in possession of two grenades. The student, simply identified as Blessing, was apprehended by the school's security guards who were conducting checks on the students luggage following their resumption for the second term. In an attempt to smuggle the bombs into the school, Blessing, who joined the school last September, concealed the bombs inside gari and it took the vigilance of the security men to detect them. Upon the discovery, she was quickly arrested alongside her father who is said to be a retired Police Inspector from Numan in Adamawa state while the bomb disposal unit at the police headquarters was quickly called in to defuse the bombs. Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) has intercepted a trending and disturbing video online, in which soldiers of the Nigerian army are seen in the video, marching two (2) harmless civilians into a location for execution, over the simple offense of coming out during curfew as heard from one of the soldiers. As the heart breaking video proceeded, the two harmless citizens were seen being gunned down by 3 soldiers who were also celebrating the heinous crime against humanity. In the trending video, the soldiers didn’t just gun down the harmless citizens after leveling all sorts of unsubstantiated allegations against them; they also gunned down their donkeys, firing more than 30 shots in the process.
