Nigeria Air took the space

Was keeping quiet but then, Nigeria Air took the space.

Let’s clear some misconceptions, first there is no Nigeria Air. There is an idea, a desire and some actions to bring the idea to reality. We are still far away.

What the minister showcased in UK, was a concept. It was a market test for a desire. The brand is still at infant stage.

The ICRC gave a certificate to launch based on some guarantees. The FG can only invest 5% of the total sum, subject to finding investors that will put in the 95%.

That is yet to happen. There has been no budget request for the 5%. The planned plane purchase is not funded. I, did not see any $300m in the budget for planes.

The roadshow is to find investors. It might happen and it might not.

Can we slow down on the name calling and insults? Nigeria on paper belongs to us all. One is not unpatriotic for voicing concerns.

Of State owned airlines in Africa, only one is profitable. The rest are subsidised. That knowledge, makes it important that we ask questions.

Then there are issues with the carcass of Nigeria Airways. That needs to be properly buried.

A leader of the Middle Belt Forum, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (Rtd) has said that the Forum will stick to its earlier endorsement of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust (PT) for the 2019 election, Mr. GBENGA Olawepo-Hashim. 63 PDP and APC senators sign to impeach Jonathan

No fewer than 63 senators have signalled their intentions to commence impeachment moves against President Goodluck Jonathan, just as 215 members of the House of Representatives have allegedly signed the impeachment register. Daily Sun gathered yesterday evening that eight senators on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had joined the ranks of All Progressives Congress (APC) to start the impeachment process. Obasanjo, Buhari Planning Interim Govt —FG

The Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, on Monday, said a plot by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to form an interim government has been uncovered. The minister said this in Lagos at the launch of a book titled, ‘Watch the Watcher,’ written by an activist, Yinka Odumakin, in reaction to Obasanjo’s controversial book, ‘My Watch’. Adesiyan said he had already directed the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba; and the Department of State Service to arrest anybody that made inflammatory statements ahead of the 2015 elections. He said, “Many of those in the APC are disgruntled PDP members who are no longer relevant and because they could not have their way, they have started to heat up the polity. Strange N1bn demand, Like IBB like Jonathan

In response to a court order, asking former president Goodluck Jonathan to appear in court on Tuesday in the trial of former National Publicity secretary of People Democratic Party (PDP)Olisa Metuh. Mr Jonathan had asked for N1billion from Metuh for security logistics to enable him come to court to testify after being subpoenaed by court.
