Nigeria Air took the space

Was keeping quiet but then, Nigeria Air took the space.

Let’s clear some misconceptions, first there is no Nigeria Air. There is an idea, a desire and some actions to bring the idea to reality. We are still far away.

What the minister showcased in UK, was a concept. It was a market test for a desire. The brand is still at infant stage.

The ICRC gave a certificate to launch based on some guarantees. The FG can only invest 5% of the total sum, subject to finding investors that will put in the 95%.

That is yet to happen. There has been no budget request for the 5%. The planned plane purchase is not funded. I, did not see any $300m in the budget for planes.

The roadshow is to find investors. It might happen and it might not.

Can we slow down on the name calling and insults? Nigeria on paper belongs to us all. One is not unpatriotic for voicing concerns.

Of State owned airlines in Africa, only one is profitable. The rest are subsidised. That knowledge, makes it important that we ask questions.

Then there are issues with the carcass of Nigeria Airways. That needs to be properly buried.

Igbo Community In Lagos Endorse Jimi Agbaje

Ahead of the February election, the Igbo Community in Lagos has reiterated its commitment to vote en masse for President Goodluck Jonathan, the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje and other party candidates to ensure the continuity of development and government of inclusiveness. Addressing the crowd at the Trade fair Complex, Archbishop Samson Benjamin, said that the tears of the Igbos in the state can only be wiped by PDP that are ready to accommodate all in their policy unlike APC who wanted the Igbos that contributed to the economical growth of the state to vacate in the name of building a mega city. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have no other choice than listen to the advise of the nations security agencies which call for the election postponement, citing security reasons. Mr Rights sighted the new structure, which is located directly opposite National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) headquarters, Abuja.
