Sahara reporters is not among top 50 website in Nigeria

There used to be a time in Nigeria that the online investigative newspaper, Sahara Reporters is regarded as one of the most popular websites in the country. Year after year, the online news platform was rated among the most popular and visited website in Nigeria.

However, the website has in recent time, decline in popularity and patronage, despite having over 5 million followers on facebook and twitter combined. The 2018 website rating by Alexa, a Global website rating platform indicates that, Sahara Reporter is not among top 50 most popular website in Nigeria. This rating will surprise many keen follower of the controversial platform.

Sahara reporter, owned by popular activist and 2019 presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore has not broken any major news of late and Mrrights investigation reveals that the website is being careful to avoid unnecessary negative publicity that may affect the political ambition of its founder.
