Why is husband killer, Maryam Sanda reading Quran in court?

It is no longer news that one Mrs. Maryam Sanda is alleged to have killed her husband, Bilyamin Bello a son of former People's Democratic Party Chairman. The suspect is being prosecuted at an FCT High Court in Abuja.



When the hearing of the case came up last month, Maryam was seen carrying the Quran, Muslim holy book and beed around and using it to cover her face. She was also seen reading the Quran while inside the court room.



The question is, why is Maryam carrying the Quran and beed to court and why is she reading the Quran inside the court while the case is going?

Meanwhile, the mother of the suspect and her brother have also been joined in the suite as accomplice.

On Thursday, Mrs. Sanda’s mother, Maimuna, who is also facing a separate charge of fraud, was arraigned with her daughter along side two others.

According to the new charge, the defendants are accused of culpable homicide and obstruction of justice.

Eligibility For 2015: S-court Dismisses Suit Against Jonathan ABUJA-The Supreme Court, Tuesday, dismissed the suit seeking to stop President Goodluck Jonathan from vying for a re-election next year. A five-man panel of Justices of the apex court presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, struck out the appeal which was filed before it by a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo. The National Chairman of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has told President Goodluck Jonathan to stop using and dumping members of the party. He said the idea of someone working for the party and others reaping the fruits must stop. Mu’azu spoke in Abuja on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Organisation of the party, which was attended by President Goodluck Jonathan. ELECTION POSTPONEMENT-THERE IS NO CAUSE FOR VIOLENCE

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have no other choice than listen to the advise of the nations security agencies which call for the election postponement, citing security reasons. While it may be true that the security agencies seems to be influenced by some political considerations, we must remain calm and give peace a chance since the action is still within the law.
