On New NSA, TRUST BUHARI ON NATIONAL SECURITY

TRUST BUHARI ON NATIONAL SECURITY Abdulrazaq O Hamzat The recent appointment of a new NSA, Major General Babagana Monguno by president Muhammadu Buhari has got many people talking. Since the announcement of Monguno yesterday as the new NSA, i have read countless reports about issues needing response. Some of those reports include articles written about him as far back as 2011. They are allegation which cannot be easily overlooked, but i do not intend to bore you with those allegations here. What is important is that, till date, no valid explanations have been given either by the past administration which he served under as Chief of Defence Intelligence, CDI or by him personally. I want to believe that, the outcome of the investigation carried out by last administration have vindicated him before now, though, it was not made public. While i agree with those asking questions about his character, i feel that the president who appointed him to his new position have more information about him than we do. Irrespective of the concerns we have, we should trust the judgement of our good president. Like a commentator on nairaland had rightly said, ''Whatever is the allegations against this man, I trust the judgement of my PRESIDENT on issue of national security.
