TRUST BUHARI ON NATIONAL SECURITY Abdulrazaq O Hamzat The recent appointment of a new NSA, Major General Babagana Monguno by president Muhammadu Buhari has got many people talking. Since the announcement of Monguno yesterday as the new NSA, i have read countless reports about issues needing response. Some of those reports include articles written about him as far back as 2011. They are allegation which cannot be easily overlooked, but i do not intend to bore you with those allegations here. What is important is that,till date, no valid explanations have been given either by the past administration which he served under as Chief of Defence Intelligence, CDI or by him personally. I want to believe that, the outcome of the investigation carried out by last administration have vindicated him before now, though, it was not made public. While i agree with those asking questions about his character, i feel that the president who appointed him to his new position have more information about him than we do. Irrespective of the concerns we have, we should trust the judgement of our good president. Like a commentator on nairaland had rightly said, ''Whatever is the allegations against this man, I trust the judgement of my PRESIDENT on issue of national security.

The National Chairman of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels has narrated how the party was rescued from highjackers and godfathers, saying it was not an easy task dealing with political and so called spiritual godfathers. In a speech he delivered at the party’s national convention in Abuja on Wednesday, he said the party which is ideologically different from others suddenly found itself in the hands of godfathers, some of whom had hidden under the banner of church spiritual fathers. A lady, who goes by the name Sarah Mcgovern on social network site Facebook, has quite her job over what she described as harassment and persistently being refereed to as sweetie by her boss. Women and youth groups in Kebbi state have refused to attend presidential campaign of People's Democratic Party (PDP). They declared support and rally for the presidential candidate of People’s Trust Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim.
