Buhari is honest and incorruptible, says PDP Gov. Lamido

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State on Monday described the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, as an incorruptible and honest leader. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr. Lamido stated this while addressing supporters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a rally in Maigatari. He explained that he had no problem with the former head of state, but had with some of the candidate’s supporters, especially those that left the PDP to the APC. “I agreed like every other person that Buhari is an incorruptible, honest, clean and patriotic Nigerian. “My concern has always been defectors who our party, PDP, had made ministers, governors, speakers and members of the National Assembly and left us after benefiting so much,” he said. Mr. Lamido urged the electorate in the area to vote for PDP candidates in the coming elections. According to him, the party’s governorship candidate, Aminu Ibrahim, and his running mate, Dr Nurudeen Mohammed, will continue from wherever I will stopped and will not betray the trust, if elected. Kwara worker commit suicide over unpaid salaries

A staff of Universal basic education (UBE) in Kwara state has reportedly committed suicide over unpaid salaries. The news was broken by a group, Kwara Must Change which said it regretted to bring to public attention, the death of Mr Biodun Bashir, a staff of Universal Basic Education (UBE) in Kwara State at Oyun Local Government, who recently hung himself to death over failure of Kwara State Government to pay workers salaries and their continues denial of owing workers. ''The staff, Mr Biodun Bashir a.k.a. 'Legal', who is a driver working under UBE committed suicide by hanging on Saturday, 28th October 2017''. Kwara Must Change call for immediate arrest of Nigeria's Senate President

A popular Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State Nigeria, ‘’Kwara Must Change’’ has called for the immediate arrest of Nigeria's Senate President, Bukola Saraki in other to unravel the source of the N12 billion Saraki claimed to have used to sponsor the 2015 general election. The group, through a released signed by its State Coordinator, Yusuf Olohuntoyin during the weekend noted that, several billions of naira belonging to the people of Kwara State have been diverted into personal pocket over the years and it is time to account for them.
