Two days ago, the runner up to Hilary Clinton in the race to 2016 democratic nomination launched is 2020 campaign at Brooklyn with over 1 million volunteers across the country. People ordinarily wouldn’t vote for any unknown third party. This is the same all over the world. Voting for an unknown third party will be extremely hard, especially a third party, whose campaign they are not seeing on TV and Radio almost all the time. But you can still break the jinx, says Bernie Sanders, a strong U.S presidential candidate in the 2016 general election, now the major candidate in the race for 2020. MrRights present 25 points extracted from an interview by ANN presidential aspirants, Olawepo Hashim • The country we want to build is the country where your regional descent should not define you politically. • I’m completely a cosmopolitan person and we have a lot of Nigerians having dual citizenship. I don’t have dual citizenship. I have only the Nigerian passport. I’ve had the opportunity of taking citizenship of other countries but I had never done that. • What I’m saying is that you have people who were born abroad who could even contest to become British Prime Minister. So, why should that be a big issue in Nigeria? • The Nigeria of our dream is the Nigeria where any Nigerian can get up from anywhere and contest for public office. • I was just talking about Sir. Kashim Ibrahim running election in Benue – a Borno man in a predominantly Christian state, a Muslim and he was elected into the Northern Assembly. • You talk about Zik of Africa who was elected into the Western ...

If you do not give up, you may never come up. If you do not lose hope, you may not birth hope. So, feel free to give up. Feel free to lose hope. I have given up many times, after I had explored all chances and opportunities without success. I have given up many times, after all hope seems lost without any possibility of redemption. I have given up so many times, after i had tried and exhausted all my talent, skills, hardwork and network. Yes, I have given up many times, after running to God in prayers and my prayers seems not getting to the most high. In my mind, I no I am finished. It's all over for me. My so called intelligence has failed and my prayers unanswered. I have lose hope many times when my vast knowledge hit the brick wall and my network helpless. Trust me, nothing is so humbling like when your greatest strength seems to be so useless and even those who shared in your idea, passion, patriotism and activism are too consumed in their own issues to come t...
A survey conducted by leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change (KMC) has indicated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may not, in the 2019 general election, win any seat in the home state of Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki. This is contrary to the assumptions of people outside Kwara State that have been projecting Kwara as a strong hold of the PDP. The survey conducted by Kwara Must Change (KMC) about 2 weeks ago revealed that the Senate President will not return to the Senate and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will lose the upcoming election in Kwara State with a very wide margin. According to Kwara Must Change president, Abdurazaq Hamzat in a statement during the week, the survey was separately conducted for the 3 senatorial districts and the result shows that in Kwara Central, where senate President Bukola Saraki is running for senate for the 3rd term, the All Progressive Congress (APC) will win by 75%, leaving only 25% for the PD...
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the comment by Chief Edwin Clark, that if the opposition has its way it can poison or kill President Goodluck Jonathan just to take power, is absurd, incendiary and unbecoming of an elder statesman of the Chief’s stature. In a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Chief Clark’s comment, which was widely reported by newspapers, is the latest in a string of statements by President Jonathan’s supporters that are overheating the polity ahead of the 2015 general elections and are even threatening the peace and unity of the country. ”We have waited for several days to give Chief Clark the opportunity to deny making such a fallacious statement, but he has not done so, which means he was not misquoted and that he indeed meant what he said. ”It is time for the President himself to call his supporters to order for the sake of the peace and unity of our dear nation. They ha...
