Youths in the 3 senatorial districts of Kwara State have urged Alhaji Yaman Abdullahi, a businessman and frontline politician to step into the 2019 governorship race in order to protect the interest of the people. Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. The STF commandant, who hailed FPP for its efforts and consistency, particularly on the early warning alerts being regularly sent to the agency, urges the organization to continue to sensitize youths in the ‘’vote not fight’’ campaign and ensure youths stay away from political violence and criminality. Women and youth groups in Kebbi state have refused to attend presidential campaign of People's Democratic Party (PDP). They declared support and rally for the presidential candidate of People’s Trust Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim. State coordinator of the People’s Trust in Kebbi state, Alhaji Garba Yauri said on Saturday in an interview on the occasion, that the groups have vowed not to support other presidential candidates in 2019 but People’s Trust Olawepo Hashim because he knew their problems and would represent them in government.
