5 facts about O TO GE slogan and the collapse of Saraki's dynasty

Image
Kwara Must Change 1. Alh. LAK Jimoh was the first politician in modern history of Kwara state to use the O TO GE slogan in a campaign. O TO GE simply means, Enough is Enough.  Alhaji Jimoh first used the slogan in 2011 when he was contesting the Kwara Central Senatorial seat under the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Bukola Saraki eventually won the ticket and went ahead to represent Kwara Central at the Senate.  While the slogan wasn't popular at the time, there's no taking away the fact that Alh LAK Jimoh used it first and could be rightly credited to be the originator. 2. 8 years later, the slogan idea was pitched again in 2018 immediately after the All Progressive Congress primary election in Kwara State. After the APC primary election, Islamic singer, Aminat Obirere produced a song titled o to ge as part of a joint album coordinated by Kwara Must Change to promote the candidature of APC governorship candidate, Alh. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The album itself was titled ...

PDP will not win a single seat in Kwara State- Survey

A survey conducted by leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change (KMC) has indicated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may not, in the 2019 general election, win any seat in the home state of Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki. This is contrary to the assumptions of people outside Kwara State that have been projecting Kwara as a strong hold of the PDP. The survey conducted by Kwara Must Change (KMC) about 2 weeks ago revealed that the Senate President will not return to the Senate and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will lose the upcoming election in Kwara State with a very wide margin. According to Kwara Must Change president, Abdurazaq Hamzat in a statement during the week, the survey was separately conducted for the 3 senatorial districts and the result shows that in Kwara Central, where senate President Bukola Saraki is running for senate for the 3rd term, the All Progressive Congress (APC) will win by 75%, leaving only 25% for the PD...

Kwara inspired Otoge takes over Nigeria

Image
The wind of Otoge movement (Enough is Enough) in Kwara State is currently blowing all across Nigeria to an extent that other opposition states in the country are adopting the slogan to advance their quest for freedom and political emancipation. After the 2015 election, Leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara popularly known as Kwara Must Change (KMC) has been leading the charge to liberate Kwara State from oppression and the grip of Bukola Saraki led dynasty. The group, along with others did a lot in terms of creating massive sensitization and the result is the unrivaled awareness of the people of Kwara, giving birth to the OTOGE movement. Since the adoption of OTOGE as the slogan by All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, the ruling dynasty has been running here and there to slow down the unstoppable growth of the opposition, but like a moving train, the OTOGE movement is unstoppable until victory is attained. At first, it was just Kwarans in different state of the feder...

I do not know Tinubu or Lai Muhammed, Kwara Must Change Convener –Abdulrazaq Hamzat

Image
Few weeks ago, my attention was drawn to an agitprop and hogwash material circulated online by agents of the Senate President titled: Brief History of Kwara Must Change anchor (Tinubu’s Agent in Kwara). My initial reaction was to ignore it because i do not think it is worthy of my response. However, i am now forced to issue this response because of genuine concerns by friends and associates concerning the content of the material. The material, which also made it to the front page of nairaland, Africa’s largest forum was circulated by emissary of the ruling government in Kwara State in a desperate attempt to link the Pro-Democracy struggle of Kwara Must Change to end oppression and enthrone people’s governance to some imaginary sponsors that do not exist anywhere. It is important to note that, this is not the first time the Bukola Saraki led dynasty will be attempting to link Abdulrazaq Hamzat or Kwara Must Change to Former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu and Minister of Inf...

Saraki’s claim on Kwara Education is the greatest fraud of 21st century

Image
Kwara Must Change, a pro Democracy group in Kwara State wishes to inform the general public that the state of education in Kwara State is one of the worst in the country. This can be verified in our May 9th report, in which Kwara Must Change exposed a heart breaking and endemic rot in Kwara State education sector, particularly in Kwara North and Kwara South in which a whole school only has one staff, who functions as teacher, cleaner and head master/mistress. As was properly captured in the report, ‘’The super staff, in addition to handling the administrative duties, also teaches all students in all classes, from primary 1 to primary 6, in addition to teaching all subjects including Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, Home Economics, Art etc’’. However, it was surprising to read with utmost dismay, the fraudulent claim by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki over the state of education in Kwara State in which he claimed that he initiated a policy to advance education ...

2019 will be the end of Saraki’s deceit in Kwara

Image
The attention of Kwara Must Change has been brought to the lame remarks by the Director General of Bukola Saraki constituency office in person Alh Musa Abdullahi, who claimed that people who rejected Saraki’s deceit and babiallah kind of leadership in our revered Agbaji community are never successful. To our understanding, this kind of faithless remark can only emanate from a person who is in prison of the mind. Before his appointment as DG of Saraki’s constituency office, Alh Musa often share the feelings and messages of youths in Agbaji community about the mind blowing under-development and unemployment in the community. Even to the blind, it was widely agreed that Bukola Saraki is a failure, not just in the whole of Kwara State, but also in his immediate community of Agbaji. This is why the entire youths of Agbaja supported the recall of Saraki, previously aborted due to INEC’s culpability. Sensing that the people of Agbaji have equally resolved to send him parking like th...

Image
Press Release Kwara Must Change, a pro-Democracy group is using this opportunity to notify the general public that our movement shall be conferring an award of the worse governor in the history of Nigeria on his Excellency, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed, the Executive Governor of Kwara State. Kwara Must Change believe very strongly that only the people can truly rate the performance of an administration and without any iota of doubt, all Kwarans, including those serving in government are anonymous in their conclusion of the devastating failure of Abdulfatai Ahmed led government of Kwara State. Apart from the absolute lack of leadership by the governor and his dummy like followership of a misguided godfather, evidences of misappropriation, endemic corruption, infrastructural degradation, educational decimation, poverty domestication, political irresponsibility, rascality of the highest order plus other shameful conducts of the governor are too numerous to mention. We believe that su...

I do not know Gbemi Saraki

Image
I do not know Gbemi Saraki and she doesn't know me. I have never seen Gbemi Saraki and she has never seen me. I have never spoken to Gbemi Saraki ans she has never spoken with me. But I ask for fairness and respect, not for Gbemi Saraki, but for everyone, including you. This is why I am called Mr.Right. When you hear people call me Mr.Right, it is not because I am always right, but because i always stand for truth and human rights. Ladies and Gentlemen, Did I ask the opposition to give Gbemi Saraki ticket to run for office? No. Did I ask you to support Gbemi Saraki? No. Did I ask you, not to hold Gbemi accountable for her 12 years at the National Assembly? No. So, what did I ask from the opposition? Treat everyone, including Gbemi Saraki fairly and justly. Few days ago, when I published an essay titled ‘’Gbemi Saraki and Kwara opposition’’, I was bombarded with messages and calls, from friends and associates. Few minutes after the essay was published, the calls start...

Gbemi Saraki and Kwara Opposition

Image
Many have sorted my view on the defection trends that has been taking place in recent days, particularly in Kwara State. Some have called, tagged me on facebook and sent messages on whatsapp, seeking to know what my opinion is and where I belong. For me, that is not the most pressing issue needing attention. For any freedom loving Kwaran, there is an important matter that should be addressed. This is the most important matter at the moment. It’s the issue of Gbemi Saraki. Some people call her okere. According to one of my friend, ‘’anti Gbemi is okere tin mu koki’’. Make una no laugh ooo, olohun o ni pa wa le kun. Gbemi is the beautiful daughter of Baba Saraki and like me, you may not be a fan of her father’s politics, but you can’t take away her alluring, exquisite, comely, pulchritudinous and statuesque look. Kai, somebody may say, ‘’ebo yi po’’ bee ni, opo, she is that beautiful. Abi be ko? On a serious note, I made use of all these words to describe her beauty because so...

Kwara Must Change is calling on the federal government to immediately effect the arrest and prosecution of Senator Shaaba lafiagi, over the gruesome killing of 3 youths in Lafiagi town. The murder of the three youths took place during the November 17 protest against the poor representation provided by Mr. Shaaba Lafiagi, the senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District. Kwara Must Change had, on November 23, petitioned several agencies, including Police, Army, Federal Ministry of Justice, National Human Rights Commission and others, to demand a proper investigation, arrest and prosecution of the culprits and to get compensation for the victims’ families. The NHRC acknowledged the petition through a letter dated 27 November, 2017. The commission, in its acknowledgement letter addressed to Kwara Must Change President, Abdulrazaq Hamzat stated that, it has commenced investigation into the matter. "The extra-judicial killings, which was ordered by Senator Sha'aba La...
