Offa is a popular town in Kwara State, located in Offa local government area of Kwara South. Apart from Ilorin, the state capital, Offa is the most popular town in the Kwara state.

Offa became globally recognised recently when some murderous armed robbers attached the town, killing more than 30 people, including 10 police officers.

The armed robbers, when arrested, claimed to be political thugs loyal to Nigeria's senate President, Bukola Saraki.

63 PDP and APC senators sign to impeach Jonathan

No fewer than 63 senators have signalled their intentions to commence impeachment moves against President Goodluck Jonathan, just as 215 members of the House of Representatives have allegedly signed the impeachment register. Daily Sun gathered yesterday evening that eight senators on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had joined the ranks of All Progressives Congress (APC) to start the impeachment process. Kwara Must Change welcome the judgement of the Court of Appeal, which ordered the Senate President, Bukola Saraki back to the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to enter his defense on 3 criminal charges and account for his false asset declaration.
