Kebbi Women and Youths shun Atiku, Rally for Olawepo Hashim

Women and youth groups in Kebbi state have refused to attend presidential campaign of People's Democratic Party (PDP).

They declared support and rally for the presidential candidate of People’s Trust Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim.

State coordinator of the People’s Trust in Kebbi state, Alhaji Garba Yauri said on Saturday in an interview on the occasion, that the groups have vowed not to support other presidential candidates in 2019 but People’s Trust Olawepo Hashim because he knew their problems and would represent them in government.

According to him, “these youths and women are not happy with the major presidential candidates. Some have graduated for the past 8 years with no job.They are agitating for a generational change in leadership. They believe one of their own,Gbenga Olawepo Hashim of the People’s Trust is the only person who could make life meaningful in 2019.”

The youth and women groups that converged on the state capital , also reiterated their support to an aspirant for the House of Reps,Hajiya Rukkauya Abdullahi and promised to vote for her during the forthcoming election.

Kwara worker commit suicide over unpaid salaries

A staff of Universal basic education (UBE) in Kwara state has reportedly committed suicide over unpaid salaries. The news was broken by a group, Kwara Must Change which said it regretted to bring to public attention, the death of Mr Biodun Bashir, a staff of Universal Basic Education (UBE) in Kwara State at Oyun Local Government, who recently hung himself to death over failure of Kwara State Government to pay workers salaries and their continues denial of owing workers.
