Former Speaker, Agbakoba, Balewa, Awolowo Lead PT's Olawepo Hashim's campaign

The People's Trust,PT,has constituted its Presidential Campaign Council  for the 2019 Presidential election.

According to a statement made available in Abuja by the party's National Secretary,Nasiru Kura,the Campaign Council will be led by a chairman,Rt.Hon.Ghali Umar Na'Abba and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association,NBA,Olisa Abgakoba will serve as co -chairman .

Ghali Umar Na'Abba,a former Speaker of the House of Representatives,had recently resigned as member of the All Progressives Congress,APC, Board of Trustees.

Alhaji Aliyu Habu Fari,a former Minister of State for Transport,will serve as Director General of the PT's Campaign Council to be assisted by three co-Deputy Director Generals.

They are Mr.Olawale Okunniyi,Director General of the National Intervention Movement ,Dr.Dale Ogunbayo and Engr.Mathias Tsado,a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the ADP.

The Campaign Council has three co- Vice Chairmen ,Dr.Abduljhalil Tafawa Balewa,Lady Funke Awolowo and Dr.Ojay Samuel.

Other notable Nigerians in the 90  member council are the party's National secretary ,Malam Nasiru Kura from the Northwest as party representative,Dr.Segun Awe Obe from the southwest ,Mrs.Ajoh Torkwase,women leader from the   Northcentral ,Mr.Abayomi Mighty ,youth leader ,southwest ,Mr.Anthony Akika ,zonal rep,North central and Mrs.Temidola Job,zonal rep southwest.

Others are Comrade Ibuchukwu Ezike, zonal rep southeast, Dr.Osagie  Obayuwana,zonal rep south south, Alhaji Shehu Sambo zonal rep Northeast,Chief of Staff to the PT's Presidential candidate,Mr.Kamal Adebayo, the Deputy Chief of Staff,Barrister Daniella Dan Suleiman,the Chief Press Secretary Hassan Ibrahim,all state chairpersons of the party ,all state Campaign coordinators and Allied Presidential candidates/ aspirants from the six geopolitical zones .

The residents of Aiyelabegan Compound in Agbaji District of Okemale Area in Ilorin has called on the Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and the various security agencies in Kwara state to call the supporters of Senate President Bukola Saraki to maintain the peace for which its neighbourhood has always been known for. Kwara worker commit suicide over unpaid salaries

A staff of Universal basic education (UBE) in Kwara state has reportedly committed suicide over unpaid salaries. The news was broken by a group, Kwara Must Change which said it regretted to bring to public attention, the death of Mr Biodun Bashir, a staff of Universal Basic Education (UBE) in Kwara State at Oyun Local Government, who recently hung himself to death over failure of Kwara State Government to pay workers salaries and their continues denial of owing workers. Saraki and Kwara Governor wasted almost N8Billion water funds without result, group kicks

Locals fetching dirty water at a river in Maigida ward, Moro Local Govt Area of Kwara State Kwara Must Change demand explanation on why Ex- Kwara governor, Bukola Saraki and current Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed spent almost N8Billion on water project in 16 years without any result. In 2003, Bukola Saraki awarded a water contract of N2.3Billion and Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed also added another N5billion immediately he took over. We need an explanation, on why the people of Kwara State have to endlessly continue endure so much hardship, pain and suffering due to government inability to provide basic necessity such as water. Water is a necessity of life and its provision is a basic responsibility of all responsible government. Experts have told us that many water borne diseases can be prevented with availability of portable water to improve hygiene and healthy living, but unfortunately, the health of all Kwarans have been exposed to preventable diseases as a result of lack of water.
