Breaking: Nairaland makes over N70 million ($200,000) a month

Mr Rights was searching for something else on the internet, when he suddenly stumble upon a link, (wealthresult.com) talking about the value of forums in the world and how much they earn. As a typical Nigerian who is always looking out for good news to report, I decided to look properly to see if our own nairaland is among the best in the world and if it earns as much as others.

Lo and behold, nairaland was listed as the number 3 most valuable forum in the world, with a monthly earning of over $200,000.
According to wealthresult, nairaland which is the biggest forum in Africa and third biggest in the world earn$204,660 per month. It went further to state that, nairaland is probably the opposite of WebHostingTalk in terms of monetization.

‘’If properly monetized and all the potentials realized, this forum has all it takes to comfortably bring in $250,000 monthly but I doubt if it’s bringing anything close to that now. The forum is a broad discussion board, catering for all things under the sun as long as it’s worth talking about. It is founded in 2005 by a Nigerian Entrepreneur Oluwaseun Osewa.

The residents of Aiyelabegan Compound in Agbaji District of Okemale Area in Ilorin has called on the Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and the various security agencies in Kwara state to call the supporters of Senate President Bukola Saraki to maintain the peace for which its neighbourhood has always been known for. The National Chairman of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels has narrated how the party was rescued from highjackers and godfathers, saying it was not an easy task dealing with political and so called spiritual godfathers. Kwara worker commit suicide over unpaid salaries

A staff of Universal basic education (UBE) in Kwara state has reportedly committed suicide over unpaid salaries. The news was broken by a group, Kwara Must Change which said it regretted to bring to public attention, the death of Mr Biodun Bashir, a staff of Universal Basic Education (UBE) in Kwara State at Oyun Local Government, who recently hung himself to death over failure of Kwara State Government to pay workers salaries and their continues denial of owing workers.
