Breaking: Nairaland makes over N70 million ($200,000) a month

Mr Rights was searching for something else on the internet, when he suddenly stumble upon a link, (wealthresult.com) talking about the value of forums in the world and how much they earn. As a typical Nigerian who is always looking out for good news to report, I decided to look properly to see if our own nairaland is among the best in the world and if it earns as much as others.

Lo and behold, nairaland was listed as the number 3 most valuable forum in the world, with a monthly earning of over $200,000.
According to wealthresult, nairaland which is the biggest forum in Africa and third biggest in the world earn$204,660 per month. It went further to state that, nairaland is probably the opposite of WebHostingTalk in terms of monetization.

‘’If properly monetized and all the potentials realized, this forum has all it takes to comfortably bring in $250,000 monthly but I doubt if it’s bringing anything close to that now. The forum is a broad discussion board, catering for all things under the sun as long as it’s worth talking about. It is founded in 2005 by a Nigerian Entrepreneur Oluwaseun Osewa.

Court Sentences Two Men To Death For Stealing Fowls in Nigeria

OSOGBO—Justice Jide Falola of an Osun State High Court sitting in Okuku has sentenced two robbers to death for stealing fowls. The convicts, Olowookere Segun and Morakinyo Sunday, were found guilty of forcefully breaking into the house of one Mr. Balogun Tope, a police officer attached to Divisional Police headquarters, Okuku, in April 2010 and carting away some of his belongings. The convicts were charged with conspiracy, robbery and stealing contrary to Section 6(b) and 1(2)(a) of Robbery and Firearm (Special Provisions) Act, cap R 11 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004 and Section (390)(1) Criminal Code Law, Cap 34, Laws of Osun State, 2002.
