Words kill spirit, Bombs kill body Words injure, shame and kill people psychologically Bombs tear flesh and blood, it kills physically -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Without spirit, body is empty Without body, spirit is useless Many are living ghost killed by words Bombs are deadly, but not worse than words -------------------------------------------------------------------------- We feed children with words They grow up with hate We hurt friends with words They turn bitter enemies -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How can we launch missiles of words Through unfair judgments And expect our victims to show some love? We are all sinners, we are all killers -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How many lives have your words destroyed? How many dreams have you shattered? Who have you killed? And how many seeds of discord have you sowed? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may claim to hate the terrorists Calling them evil, for the lives they take But your bad words do great harm Like the bomb they blow -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Someone coined the word ‘’war’’ It’s the worse word in the world Before any bomb were ever created The words had long been made --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The more people we hurt with words The more violence we experience If the hear doesn’t hear bad words The heart won’t be in pain ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do your words free people from pain Or put them in despair? Does it unite or divide? Do you heal broken heart Or break happy One’s? Words can make or mar ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abuse, Insult and Curse Hate, Division and Hurt Sadness, Sorrow and Agony Are all products of words -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abusive words hurts and kills Curse words destroy and agonize Before you abuse and curse Kindly prepare the grave of your victims -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whenever you use the hurtful words In an effort to bring people down You are killing like the terrorist Though with words, not with bombs --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don’t ever be the source of pain When you can be the reason for pleasure Harsh words can kill the living Soothing words can raise the dead

Police detain Edo Speaker over lawmakers attack   Mr.rights have learnt that, the Edo State Police Command on Thursday arrested the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe, and the Majority Leader, Philip Shaibu, over the attack on a lawmaker, Abdulrazak Momoh. Momoh,   whose seat was declared vacant by the assembly in July, was said to have been attacked by thugs on Tuesday after he allegedly ignored the instruction of security men not to enter the legislative quarters. The Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker   was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Ward of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. The PDP had in a statement by its Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, on Wednesday, accused Shaibu and other APC lawmakers of masterminding the attack. President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday said his administration’s strategy against corruption was to strengthen the capability of institutions to nip the menace in the bud.  He said his idea of anti-corruption war was not about arresting suspects and parading them on the television. Eligibility For 2015: S-court Dismisses Suit Against Jonathan ABUJA-The Supreme Court, Tuesday, dismissed the suit seeking to stop President Goodluck Jonathan from vying for a re-election next year. A five-man panel of Justices of the apex court presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, struck out the appeal which was filed before it by a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo. Delivering the ruling, the CJN, accused Ardo of inviting the Supreme Court to arrest a proceeding pending before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal. Nigeria is the most admired African nation in spite of criticisms

In spite of constant bashing Nigeria receives from its citizens at home and show of apparent cynicism and doubts on its potentials, the country has emerged as the most admired African nation in a survey by African Business magazine in partnership with Brand Africa, Brand Finance Africa and TNS. The report, which listed 100 most admired and valuable brands in Africa, notes that Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa topped the most admired African nations mentioned spontaneously by Africans. The report says the 2014 Brand Africa 100 is based on a survey among a representative sample of eight countries, covering the major sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) regions to establish the base top 100 most admired brands. These countries, Ghana and Nigeria (West Africa; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (East Africa); DRC (Central Africa), and Mozambique and South Africa (Southern Africa).
