Nigerian ex-football player win council election in poland

A Nigerian-born ex footballer, Justin Nnorom has been elected into the Dabrowka constituency to represent the council in Poland, reports euro news.

He defeated others in an election held on Sunday in Dabrowka council.

Honourable Justin Nnorom, who will serve for four years as the Representative, said his top priorities will be Education, Sports, Recreation and Culture, Infrastructure, Urban Planning as well as proper use of EU regional development funds, tackling unemployment, improving on health and welfare issues and tackling environmental issues.

Justin Nnorom hails from Imo State. He played for BCC Lions of Gboko before moving to Poland after signing a deal with a Polish side.

Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. More than 500 doctors and residents, as well as over 150 medical students in Canada, have signed a public letter rejecting their own salary increase that was approved by government reports CNBC. “We, Quebec doctors who believe in a strong public system, oppose the recent salary increases negotiated by our medical federations,” the letter says.
