Alliance for New Nigeria has at its special convention and presidential primary in Abuja on Wednesday expelled its former National Chairman, Dania Emmanuel and former Deputy National Secretary, Mr. Osita Okonkwo from the party.

Dania and Okonkwo were removed and expelled for anti-party activities.

Recall that it has been reported that Dania Emmanuel and a former presidential aspirant under the party allegedly received hush money from the All Progressive Congress (APC) to compromise the party and stop Global Business man, Olawepo Hashim.

The party, through a resounding voice vote of delegates from across the federation expelled the dou.

The party also announced that it is now in strategic alliance with People’s Trust (PT) for the purpose of presidential and other political office for the 2019 general election.

In addition to the Alliance with People's Trust, ANN also announced that 7 other political parties, which also saw the beauty in ANN's agenda are currently in discussion with it and in the next few days, the discussion will be concluded.

A leader of the Middle Belt Forum, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (Rtd) has said that the Forum will stick to its earlier endorsement of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Trust (PT) for the 2019 election, Mr. GBENGA Olawepo-Hashim. The Nigerian Army on Tuesday publicly released the academic details of former military leader, Muhammadu Buhari, but denied at the same time it could not vouch for the authenticity of his Senior Secondary Examinations results. Speaking to the media, Army Spokesperson, Olajide Laleye, reversed the Army’s earlier position that it had copies of Mr. Buhari’s West African Secondary School Certificate. Mr. Laleye said while military records showed Mr. Buhari obtained the WASC in 1961, with credits in English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, and Hausa, there were neither the original copy nor certified true copy nor statement of result to confirm the grades. He also said the Army could not confirm whether Mr. Buhari’s claim of obtaining those results was verified by the Army in the 1960s.
