We'll stop recycling of leaders in 2019 says Olawepo Hashim

Image
Frontline Presidential Candidate, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has declared his candidacy as the best fit to rescue Nigeria from the politics and practice of recycling leaders. The candidate who has emerged as a third force in the race towards next year’s presidential elections, said as a matter of fact that “while recycling of waste products might be good for the environment, it is bad for governance” He stressed at an interactive session with journalists at the weekend that the world has developed to appreciate the importance of recycling refuse and waste products, but cannot grow to the extent of accepting fading personalities as our potential rescuers. “What we need now is a new generation of leaders. We no longer need the cabal anymore. We cannot accept a situation where we accommodate multiple pension-receiving individuals. I mean those who have been living on government expenses in ages. It is good to retire these people and the time to do that is now”, Olawepo-Hashim state...

YOU CANNOT REAP WHERE YOU DID NOT SOW: A MESSAGE TO FELA DUTOYE AND HIS CO-TRAVELERS.

Image
Dr Jay Samuel YO I first met Fela Durotoye, FD as he is popularly called in August of 2017. This meeting was brokered by Pastor Jim Bent who was introduced to me by Naseer Daura the erstwhile Interim National Secretary of ANN. I later found out that Jim and Daura have been friends from their days in the Nigerian Military School. My meeting with FD took place in my hotel room at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. This meeting that I thought would be a one-hour exploratory discussion to my amazement, started at 8pm and ended at well past midnight! After that meeting I was perplexed trying to make sense of all what we discussed. Two things that I could take away from that meeting was that FD wanted to court my friendship as a way of guaranteeing the ANN ticket and that he believes he is on a spiritual journey that had been ordained by God so he set out to bamboozle me with all sorts of revelations and prophesies to make me have no choice than to offer the ANN ticket to him right th...

Image
The National Chairman of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels has narrated how the party was rescued from highjackers and godfathers, saying it was not an easy task dealing with political and so called spiritual godfathers. " If i open my mouth and speak, Nigeria will boil'' he says. In a speech he delivered at the party’s national convention in Abuja on Wednesday, he said the party which is ideologically different from others suddenly found itself in the hands of godfathers, some of whom had hidden under the banner of church spiritual fathers. He further explained that forces of godfathers would have succeeded as a result of moles they planted in the party, but some genuine members within the fold stood up in defence of the party and its ideology. “Some powerful forces were surreptitiously working to disintegrate the party, they planted moles into the party and they almost succeeded in hijacking the structure of the party.” Dr. Osi-Samuels fur...

Olawepo-Hashim however corrected impressions that he has withdrawn from the presidential race, saying he surely has not. “I am in the race. I have only pulled out of the hurried convention of the ANN fixed for today, Saturday, purportedly to elect the presidential candidate. I am still in the race for 2019 by the special grace of God” At a crowded press conference on Saturday, the nineteen party chairmen, who are NEC members, were joined by pa...

The intention of these elements is to destabilize the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) in order to use the party platform to further the interest of the failed ruling party, the APC. The said unscrupulous element, acting in alliance with a certain presidential aspirant who has been pretending to be campaigning for the office of president on the platform of the ANN, first launched a series of attack on the party in the build up to her congresses and national convention, which held in August 2018. With his fellow travellers, this so-called presidential aspirant also circulated disparaging remarks aimed at impugning the credibility of our principal in the social media, where he sustained a vicious campaign along with his hirelings. 2019 Presidency: Inspiring story of ANN Presidential Aspirant Olawepo Hashim

Image
The mutation of Olawepo-Hashim By Abiodun Adeniyi He rode to fame as a student union activist, and veered into advocacy as a graduate. He later resorted to public relations practice, and then detoured into oil. Then Gas, and now Energy. Soon, he got into politics: beginning as a presidential endorser, he moved into party administrator. And then he sought office as governor. A break followed, resulting into the expansion of a business, flourishing across Africa, in Europe and the Americas. Somewhat like a fairy-tale, sometimes incredible, his concerns have flourished, and the young, ever agitated mind of yesteryears, have become a risen man of today, with promising manners for greater heights. That’s the story of Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, who lately revealed his paternal identity, through the origin of his father, Hashimi Abdullah’s as being Kebbi State born, and who’s now vying for the nation’s top job, the presidency. Olawepo-Hashim is not however your conventional busine...

25 points from Interview of ANN Presidential Aspirant, Olawepo Hashim

Image
MrRights present 25 points extracted from an interview by ANN presidential aspirants, Olawepo Hashim • The country we want to build is the country where your regional descent should not define you politically. • I’m completely a cosmopolitan person and we have a lot of Nigerians having dual citizenship. I don’t have dual citizenship. I have only the Nigerian passport. I’ve had the opportunity of taking citizenship of other countries but I had never done that. • What I’m saying is that you have people who were born abroad who could even contest to become British Prime Minister. So, why should that be a big issue in Nigeria? • The Nigeria of our dream is the Nigeria where any Nigerian can get up from anywhere and contest for public office. • I was just talking about Sir. Kashim Ibrahim running election in Benue – a Borno man in a predominantly Christian state, a Muslim and he was elected into the Northern Assembly. • You talk about Zik of Africa who was elected into the Western ...
