Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) have been working on a Nigeria Peace Index (NPI) since 2016. The organization's Executive Director, AMB. Abdulrazaq O Hamzat was quoted last December by Blue Print newspaper to have said that the research has been concluded and that they are only doing some internal work in preparation for the launching of the index.



Today on social media, facebook to be specific, Abdulrazaq posted a rough art work of the index with a caption'' Understanding the rate of peacefulness in Nigeria''.

FPP’s vote not fight campaign ahead of 2019 election get a morale boost

Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) anti-violence campaign ahead of the 2019 general election, tagged ‘’vote not fight’’ has gained some moral boost, as the Commandant of Special Task Force (Operation Safe Heaven) in Plateau State, Maj General Augustine Agundu declared support for the campaign. The STF commandant, who hailed FPP for its efforts and consistency, particularly on the early warning alerts being regularly sent to the agency, urges the organization to continue to sensitize youths in the ‘’vote not fight’’ campaign and ensure youths stay away from political violence and criminality. Youths in the 3 senatorial districts of Kwara State have urged Alhaji Yaman Abdullahi, a businessman and frontline politician to step into the 2019 governorship race in order to protect the interest of the people. I do not know when GTB suddenly become this kind of a useless bank, but what one of My friend is currently experiencing is very frustrating and a betrayal of customers trust. This is what happened. A friend of mine (Ib) operate a GTB savings account in Ilorin, Kwara state, but due to his kind of job, he suddenly find himself in Delta state, a remote town that only one bank operates there (ECOBANK). Whenever he needs to lodge money into his account, there is no way to do that, but finally, he had an agreement with the ECOBANK in the town. One of the ECOBANK staff would receive the amount to be lodged in cash, then transfer the amount to his GTB account. This has been the way since he gets to that town. And if they need to withdraw cash for any reason, of course, the ATM is there. But for the past 3 weeks, my friend IB has been unable to withdraw money from his GTB account. A post recently made on facebook by Abdulrazaq O Hamzat, a former President of Congress of NOUN Students (CONS) has generated a new debate about the position of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) among institutions in the country. Hamzat, who is still in court against management of the institution over his unlawful expulsion in 2015 for exposing corruption and forming a student association declared that, despite all the challenges confronting the University, the Open University is still the best in Nigeria.
