Foundation for Peace Professionals (FPP) have been working on a Nigeria Peace Index (NPI) since 2016. The organization's Executive Director, AMB. Abdulrazaq O Hamzat was quoted last December by Blue Print newspaper to have said that the research has been concluded and that they are only doing some internal work in preparation for the launching of the index.



Today on social media, facebook to be specific, Abdulrazaq posted a rough art work of the index with a caption'' Understanding the rate of peacefulness in Nigeria''.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have no other choice than listen to the advise of the nations security agencies which call for the election postponement, citing security reasons. While it may be true that the security agencies seems to be influenced by some political considerations, we must remain calm and give peace a chance since the action is still within the law. Although, there are reasons to be worried. Nigerians must be worried that, this government has had 6 years to fix the security of the nation, but it has failed to do so. Mr Rights sighted the new structure, which is located directly opposite National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) headquarters, Abuja.
