Group demand arrest and prosecution of Sen. Shaaba Lafiagi over murder of 3 youths in Lafiaji
Kwara Must Change is calling on the federal government to immediately effect the arrest and prosecution of Senator Shaaba lafiagi, over the gruesome killing of 3 youths in Lafiagi town. The murder of the three youths took place during the November 17 protest against the poor representation provided by Mr. Shaaba Lafiagi, the senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District. Kwara Must Change had, on November 23, petitioned several agencies, including Police, Army, Federal Ministry of Justice, National Human Rights Commission and others, to demand a proper investigation, arrest and prosecution of the culprits and to get compensation for the victims’ families. The NHRC acknowledged the petition through a letter dated 27 November, 2017.
