Group award Kwara governor as worse in history

Image
Press Release Kwara Must Change, a pro-Democracy group is using this opportunity to notify the general public that our movement shall be conferring an award of the worse governor in the history of Nigeria on his Excellency, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed, the Executive Governor of Kwara State. Kwara Must Change believe very strongly that only the people can truly rate the performance of an administration and without any iota of doubt, all Kwarans, including those serving in government are anonymous in their conclusion of the devastating failure of Abdulfatai Ahmed led government of Kwara State. Apart from the absolute lack of leadership by the governor and his dummy like followership of a misguided godfather, evidences of misappropriation, endemic corruption, infrastructural degradation, educational decimation, poverty domestication, political irresponsibility, rascality of the highest order plus other shameful conducts of the governor are too numerous to mention. We believe that su...

Saraki, Kwara Govt emboldened thugs to live crimal life- PDP

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has alleged that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Kwara State government embolden political thugs to live criminal life. This position was made by the PDP Chairman in Kwara State, Chief Iyiola Akogun Oyedepo while responding to question during interview with Punch. Asked if President Muhammadu Buhari was victimizing Saraki and Governor Ahmed through the police by linking them to the Offa robbery, Chief Oyedepo stated that, the police did not induce the Offa armed robbery suspects to make confessions against Dr. Bukola Saraki. We must be objective in all our analysis or presentation on this matter “We should not tell lies against anybody . The grievances of the nPDP are not the same thing with the criminal allegations levelled against the Senate President and the governor. “If they are pursuing their demands within their party without any link tocrime, nobody will accuse them of committing any crime. Their nPDP activ...

Saraki invitation by police over offa robbery incident is scary says group

Image
Kwara Must Change on Sunday, 3rd June 2018 read the news of invitation of Senate President, Bukola Saraki by the Nigeria Police Force over the tragic Offa Bank Robbery incident with utmost surprise and curiosity and we encourage all Nigerian to follow the police investigation with all sense of responsibility, devoid of any political sentiments. This is very important because, the tragic invasion of Offa community in Offa local government area of Kwara State in April 2018, which claimed over 33 innocent lives must not be confused with politics and the police report on such a scary development must be monitored very objectively. According to the report credited to police Spokesperson Jimoh Moshood, Saraki was invited after he was mentioned by five of the suspected armed robbers, who confessed to being part of the robbery gang that operated in Offa and killed over 33 people. The police claimed that five gang leaders indicted Mr. Saraki after they confessed that they were political...

Endemic rot in Kwara education sector uncovered, as govt schools have only 1 teacher

Image
Kwara Must Change has uncovered another heart breaking and endemic rot in Kwara State education sector, particularly in Kwara North and Kwara South Senatorial District in which a whole school only has one staff, who functions as teacher, cleaner and head master/mistress. Our latest discovery signifies how unimportant the state government considers education in this part of the country. In the course of Kwara Must Change’s engagement with the people across the state, we discovered that several primary schools have only one staff, that manages the administrative affairs of their schools as head master/mistress, as well as serves as teacher and cleaner all at the same time. The super staff, in addition to administrative duties, also teaches all students in all classes, from primary 1 to primary 6. Furthermore, the extra ordinary staff also teaches all subjects including Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, Home Economics, Art etc. At first glance, Kwara Must Change thoug...

Saraki cannot chose governor for Kwara in 2019

Image
Kwara Must Change wishes to assure all Kwarans that for the first time in recent history, the people will be the sole determinant of their leaders come 2019. This assurance became necessary due to the activities of some political jobbers, who are proving themselves enemy of the people by attempting to sell the future of the state as they have always done by usurping the democratic right of the people to choose their own leaders. A group, which called itself Coalition of Registered Political Parties in Kwara State reportedly called on Senate President Bukola Saraki to intervene in the choice of governorship candidate in the state. The group made the call in a letter written to Saraki which was signed by its coordinator, Alhaji Ahmed Abdullahi and widely reported across the media. Kwara Must Change hereby condemn such an undemocratic call in the strongest term and we are informing the inconsequential group that never again, will Saraki or any individual be allowed to choose gover...

Image
Locals fetching dirty water at a river in Maigida ward, Moro Local Govt Area of Kwara State Kwara Must Change demand explanation on why Ex- Kwara governor, Bukola Saraki and current Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed spent almost N8Billion on water project in 16 years without any result. In 2003, Bukola Saraki awarded a water contract of N2.3Billion and Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed also added another N5billion immediately he took over. We need an explanation, on why the people of Kwara State have to endlessly continue endure so much hardship, pain and suffering due to government inability to provide basic necessity such as water. Water is a necessity of life and its provision is a basic responsibility of all responsible government. Experts have told us that many water borne diseases can be prevented with availability of portable water to improve hygiene and healthy living, but unfortunately, the health of all Kwarans have been exposed to preventable diseases as a result of lack of water. ...
